The National Council on Problem Gambling (NCPG) has released findings from a comprehensive study examining gambling regulations across the United States. The analysis reveals that numerous states do not fully comply with the council’s Internet Responsible Gambling Standards (IRGS).
Report Reveals Regulatory Deficiencies in Various States
This report was prepared by Vixio Regulatory Intelligence, a RegTech platform designed to mitigate compliance risks within the payments and gambling sectors. It offers a comparative overview of gambling regulations in U.S. markets where mobile sports betting is permitted as of June 2024.
The NCPG emphasized that this report meticulously compared state laws and regulations against the IRGS benchmarks.
The primary aim of this document was to pinpoint deficiencies in existing state legislation and propose actionable recommendations for enhancing consumer protection against potential harms associated with gambling. This initiative aligns seamlessly with the NCPG’s broader commitment to promoting responsible gambling practices.
